GDP Gains in November

Canada's economy continued on the move during November, if only marginally so.

Statistics Canada said the output of our economy expanded by 0.4% in November, led by mining, oil and gas, manufacturing and construction.

The agency reported Tuesday that the monthly expansion was a reversal of October's data, when the economy contracted by about 0.3%

StatsCan reported industries that produce goods led the way with a 0.9% expansion. The service sector slowed the growth rate down a mite, however, expanding by just 0.2%.
