Stock futures indicated a modestly lower start for Canada's main stock index, taking cues from oil prices
The S&P/TSX Composite climbed 77.28 points to finish Friday and the week at 15,476.39
The Canadian dollar slid 0.31 cents to 76.5 cents U.S. early Monday.
Israel's Delek Group has offered to buy Ithaca Energy in a deal valuing the North Sea oil producer's equity at $646 million U.S. and building on Delek's expansion in the North Sea ahead of a planned London listing. Ithaca said its board had recommended the Israeli conglomerate's cash offer of $1.95 per share, which equates to 1.20 pounds
Canaccord Genuity cut the target price on Altagas Ltd. to $33 from $35, reflecting dilution from the $2.5-billion subscription receipt offering and higher debt levels.
CIBC raised the target price on Information Services Corp. to $21.50 from $19 expecting several opportunities for the company to provide registry services in Australia.

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a lower open Monday as traders focused on earnings after the best day of 2017 for the Dow Jones industrial average in the previous session.
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow dipped 27 points, or 0.1%, to 19,959. Futures for the S&P 500 dropped four points, or 0.2%, to 2,287. NASDAQ futures backpedaled 10.25 points, or 0.2%, at 5,144.75.
On the earnings front, Hasbro reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue, and raised its quarterly dividend to 57 cents U.S. a share from 51 cents. 21st Century Fox, FMC and Maceirch are due to report after the market close.
European shares were lower by noon on the continent, while the Nikkei printed higher in Japan.
Oil prices retreated 11 cents to $53.72 U.S. a barrel
Gold prices gained 10 dollars to $1,230.80 U.S. an ounce.
