CEO Elon Musk should be happy today. 75% of Tesla (TSLA) shareholders voted to approve an astoundingly large compensation package. Shareholders will pay Musk $1 trillion if he stays at the firm for over 10 years.
Musk is already the richest person with a net worth of around $475 billion. To earn $1 trillion paid over 12 tranches, Tesla must trade at an $8.5 trillion market capitalization within 10 years. The firm must also sell a million Optimus robots.
APA (APA) jumped by 9% on Thursday. It posted a non-GAAP EPS of $0.93. Revenue fell by 16.2% Y/Y to $2.12 billion. The firm has the flexibility to adjust to lower oil prices. It may, for example, drop more rigs in the Permian or Egypt.
APA stock is cheap. Its P/E (forward) is 6.3 times, while shares pay a dividend that yields 4.62%. Short-sellers hold a 10.31% short interest against the stock.
Airbnb (ABNB) should rise by around 5% this morning. The firm posted a 9.7% Y/Y increase in revenue, to $4.09 billion. GAAP EPS in Q3 was $2.21. In Q4, the company is expecting its gross booking value (GBV) to benefit from favorable exchange rates and higher prices. In addition, Nights and Seats bookings will keep growing.
ABNB stock might potentially break out of its trading range. However, investors are cautious about hotel, hospitality, and travel-related stocks amid recession risks. The weak job market is also a headwind for this sector.
