Watch Meta Platforms, Disney, and Klarna

A critical court case has started against Meta Platforms (META). A group of 29 U.S. states accused Meta of intentionally creating an addictive product that targeted children on Facebook and Instagram.
If Meta loses, it could owe up to hundreds of billions of dollars in penalties. It might also change Meta’s algorithm that allegedly keeps people addicted to its platform.
Disney (DIS) is worth watching closely. The firm, along with its ABC unit, sued the Federal Communications Commission yesterday. It wanted the FCC to stop an early review of its licenses for eight ABC TV stations. It accused the Trump administration of weaponizing the FCC to punish its network.
DIS stock trades at a premium, while investors get a profitable firm.
Klarna (KLAR) lost 22.81% on Tuesday. The stock, which has a short interest of 8.66%, posted weak guidance. It blamed lower volumes in Germany, along with currency translation, for the bad news.
Klarna provides buy now, pay later with flexible payment methods. It is expecting Q3 revenue of $940 million to $980 million. Investors expected up to $1.11 billion. Gross merchandise volume of up to $151 billion is below its prior guidance of over $155 billion.
Investors might consider cutting or closing their position in KLAR stock. Margins are under pressure amid weaker GMV and revenue.
