Smart Cannabis Stock Explodes on More Greenhouse Completions, App Subscriptions

Slowly, but surely, momentum seems to keep building behind the young legal cannabis industry. Even John Boehner, former House speaker, got behind the movement this month, reversing his long-held view, saying that his thinking has "evolved."

That's good for company's in all walks of the business, such as little Smart Cannabis Corp. (OTCPK:SCNA), a turnkey provider of automated greenhouses through its subsidiary Next Generation Farming, Inc.

The Roseville, California-based company said Monday morning that it is staying busy this year, recently completing three more projects, including greenhouse construction and full installation services. Furthermore, the projects include recurring software subscriptions for Next Generation Farming's SMART App automation software.

Filled with information from sensors, the mobile SMART App provides greenhouse owners a top-level overview of the status of all its their greenhouses at any given moment.

The three latest project completions, all of which were in northern California, bring the 2018 total to seven for Next Generation Farming. Although cannabis has been legal in California for medical purposes for about two decades, the industry is experiencing a boom following the legalization of recreational marijuana at the start of 2018.

On the Next Generation Farming website, the company notes delivery of 43 SMART greenhouses (although that number was not verified by AllPennyStocks.com as to whether or not it is current or inclusive of the most recent projects).

"We are working day in and day out selling, innovating, installing, and building strategic partnerships" said Smart Cannabis CEO and co-founder John Taylor in today's new release. "On top of transactions, our pipeline is exploding and big projects are in development," he added.

Not only is the pipeline exploding, so are shares of SCNA. Subsequent to plunging below three cents lately after rising as high as almost eight cents at the start of the year, Monday is shaping up to be the sixth straight day of gains for SCNA. About 50 minutes into the trading session, the stock was up 27.7% at six cents, with nearly two million shares already changing hands.
