Blue Sphere topples on generator update

North Carolina-based Blue Sphere Corporation (OTCQB: BLSP) was abuzz Monday with updates of its Italian natural oil generator facility. The company is an independent power producer in clean energy and waste-to-energy.

The facility, in the town of Udine, Italy, is nearing completion of its upgrade, and as part of that, BLSP has purchased a Mitsubishi four-cycle, water-cooled, turbo-charged inline 6 that can generate Nominal Power of 1050 KwH, thus boosting its revenue performance by about 2%.

The engine was due to be shipped late last week to Udine from Blue Sphere’s maintenance workshop, where changes were made to its cylinders, intercooler system and sealing. The installation will be completed in five business days in which the workshop is operational. The facility is expected to be back online and operating at its full capacity by October 22.

BLSP’s shares did not hearken to the news. Shares stumbled Monday by $0. 000215, or nearly 3%, on volume topping five million shares.
