PharmaCyte Biotech Gains on Greater Media Exposure

All sorts of advances are being made day after day on the health-care front, the latest transpiring on Wednesday, as Laguna Hills, Calif.-based PharmaCyte Biotech Inc (OTC:PMCB) released a new video documentary of its pancreatic cancer therapy.

The video uses storytelling to introduce the viewer to this hard-to-treat disease, the current options available for pancreatic cancer patients and then presents PharmaCyte’s leading product candidate – locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC) - in full detail.

PharmaCyte CEO Kenneth L. Waggoner said "We are excited to see the story of our pancreatic cancer therapy unfold in this video documentary. We think this video will offer PharmaCyte a real opportunity to explain to the world what we are attempting to do with our leading product candidate and why."

PharmaCyte is a clinical stage biotechnology company developing cellular therapies for cancer and diabetes based upon a proprietary cellulose-based live cell encapsulation technology known as "Cell-in-a-Box®." This technology will be used as a platform upon which therapies for several types of cancer and diabetes are being developed.

Shares rose 5.6% early Wednesday afternoon to 3.59 cents, on volume of 616,000 shares.
