Consumer Price Index (Aug.) CPI rose 1.2% on a year-over-year basis in July, following a 1.0% increase in June. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI was up 0.2% in July, after posting no change in June.
Retail Sales (July) Retail sales rose for the fourth consecutive month in June, edging up 0.1% to $49.0 billion. Sales were up in six of 11 subsectors, representing 38% of total retail trade.
