Consumer Price Index (March) CPI rose 2.2% on a year-over-year basis in February, following a 1.7% increase in January. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index was up 0.2% in February after increasing 0.5% in January.

Retail Sales (Feb.) Statistics Canada reported that retail sales increased 0.3% in January to $49.9 billion. General merchandise stores were the largest contributors to the increase
