ELECTRIC METALS ADDS TOP REE EXPERT TO ITS ADVISORY BOARD

Vancouver, B.C., July 28, 2010 - ELECTRIC METALS INC. (TSX-V: EMI) (the "Company" or "Electric Metals") announces that it has appointed Dr. Anthony Mariano to its newly established advisory board. The creation of the advisory board will allow the company to draw upon a wealth of experience and years of technical research not normally available to junior resource exploration companies.

Dr. Mariano is a geologist with extensive field and laboratory experience in exploration and economic geology with a primary focus on carbonatites, alkaline rocks and rare metals. He has over 50 years experience with projects worldwide. His carbonatite experience includes niobium, tantalum, rare-earths, yttrium, titanium, vanadium, thorium and others.

Dr. Mariano has consulted to numerous major and junior mining companies including Molycorp Inc., Companhia Brasileira Metalurgia e Mineracau (CBMM), Rare Element Resources and the United Nations. He has authored numerous technical publications, reports and patents.

The Company is very pleased to add Dr. Mariano to its technical team and looks forward to working with one of the world's foremost REE experts while continuing to advance its projects.
