[ACCESSWIRE]

EDMONDS, WA / ACCESSWIRE / April 6, 2015 / American Brewing Company, Inc.(R), (PINKSHEETS: ABRW) ("ABC"), an award-winning micro-brewing company based out of the Pacific Northwest, today announced that it has purchased the bùcha(TM) live Kombucha brand. As the wholesome beverage provider of bùcha(TM) live Kombucha, the new offering will make a healthy addition to the American Brewing Company's(R) growing beverage portfolio. See www.mybucha.com.

ABC will continue to deliver probiotic, non-GMO, gluten free, organic-certified, sparkling, bùcha(TM) live Kombucha tea products of unprecedented quality. "This proprietary method of making bùcha(TM) live Kombucha, designed by Technical Director Frank Commanday, is revolutionary. It allows us to create efficiencies and superior products in our family of Kombuchas," according to Chuck Santry (incoming COO). The rise of Kombucha (the style) and craft beer demand in recent years represents the growing taste for brewed beverages in America. bùcha(TM) live Kombucha and craft beer share a similar brewing process, and this new partnership represents a strong step in diversifying beverage offerings for ABC. "With this first step, we solidify our diversification into the full beverage industry," said Neil Fallon, CEO of American Brewing Company(R).

"Last year American Brewing Company(R) increased its brewing capacity six-fold, however with this acquisition we now have a contract with UNIX-packaging that has a 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art bottling facility. With the marriage of the two companies we increase our product offerings and reach."

The business was acquired for a combination of $260,000 cash, a $140,000 note payable and $500,000 in American Brewing Company(R) restricted stock.

The bùcha(TM) live Kombucha brand is distributed in major Health and Grocery chains throughout North America and is growing rapidly. Among these chains are Safeway, Kroger's, Whole Foods, Sprouts, PCC, etc. "The commercial Kombucha industry continues to expand quickly via double digit growth each year…" according to Hannah Crum, industry expert and head of the recently formed Kombucha Brewers International trade association.

Fallon went on to say, "This acquisition falls in line perfectly with our strategy of acquiring profitable, existing assets and revenue streams with large footprints and merging them into the American Brewing Company(R) family of beers and beverages. Consumers are trending toward beverages, with fresh, non-sugary (notably soft drinks) and organic ingredients. We are very excited to be able to offer them two drink categories: Craft Beer and Kombucha Tea!"

ABC is also happy to gain some valuable experience in personnel as well. Frank Commanday (bùcha(TM) live Kombucha brewer and designer) will join the company. Frank pioneered a proprietary method to flavor the different labels produced under the bùcha(TM) live Kombucha brand and effectively created a taste that we feel is completely unique to the industry.

Says in coming COO, Chuck Santry (another valued addition to the ABC team), "Frank made this taste really good!"
