The Orchards at Bartley, located in Jackson, New Jersey is offering an AARP six-hour driver safety course aimed at helping drivers become safer and more alert behind the wheel
Jackson, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / August 8, 2015 / The Orchards at Bartley announced that it will host an AARP Drivers Refresher Course from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on August 20, 2015, at The Orchards at Bartley in Jackson, New Jersey.
The six-hour AARP Driver Safety Course is a classroom-style refresher course that helps drivers by updating their driving knowledge and skills.
“In the class, students will learn to avoid traffic violations and prevent accidents,” said Meghan Windrem, executive director of The Orchards at Bartley. “The class will help drivers become safer and more alert behind the wheel, and participants who complete the refresher course are eligible to receive discounts on auto insurance.”
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), highway deaths claim more than 30,000 lives each year. The Orchards at Bartley is interested in doing their part to help reduce that number locally and nationally.
“Past course participants have expressed such great satisfaction with the course so we repeating it,” said Windrem. “By completing this course, participants will have a better understanding of what is needed to drive safely and remain mobile and independent for years to come.”
Pre-registration is required, and the class size is limited to 10 participants. There will be light refreshments, compliments of The Orchards at Bartley, during the course.
The fee for AARP members is 15 dollars and for non–AARP members there is 20-dollar fee. Fees should be paid by check payable to AARP. For more information and to enroll, call 732-730-1700.
