Red Lion Hotels Upgrades Wi-Fi to Power Hello Rewards

[ACCESSWIRE]

EthoStream to Deliver Integrated Wi-Fi and Reward System over 802.11ac Access Points

WAUKESHA, WI / ACCESSWIRE / June 22, 2016 / EthoStream, a division of Telkonet Inc. (OTCQB: TKOI) and one of the nation's largest hospitality high-speed internet access (HSIA) network providers, announced today that Red Lion Hotels Corporation (NASDAQ: RLH), has chosen EthoStream to implement a revolutionary Wi-Fi customer affinity program across their managed and franchised locations beginning in 2016. By logging in with their Hello Rewards credentials, guests will receive enhanced Wi-Fi speeds and bypass any time-consuming login process. In conjunction with this system, Red Lion is also upgrading a number of sites to deliver the latest Wi-Fi technology.

The system works by allowing a guest to log in using their Hello Rewards credentials the first time they stay at any Hotel RL, Red Lion or Red Lion Inn & Suites location. On subsequent visits to any property within the chain, the system will remember that guest, automatically upgrade their bandwidth level, and in the future will greet the customer with an email acknowledgement welcoming them to the property. This email will allow hotels to communicate special messages to guests or advertise hotel amenities such as onsite food and beverage outlets or specials.

"It's no secret Wi-Fi access is one of the most important guest amenities for today's travelers. Working with EthoStream we've created a solution that not only provides a great Wi-Fi connection for all our guests, but also allows a unique experience for our Hello Rewards members. We feel if our Hello Rewards members know us well enough to visit our hotels we should know them well enough to allow their devices to easily connect to our Wi-Fi solution," said John Edwards, CIO for Red Lion Hotels Corporation.

Along with the Hello Rewards program integration, new brand standards released earlier this year feature 802.11ac wireless coverage with access points from Ruckus Wireless as well as Virtual Smartzone cloud-based AP control. Newly installed access points will support gigabit wireless speeds and will provide a consistent experience across the brand.

EthoStream's "Total Solution" offers a complete package of services required for quality wired and wireless high-speed Internet access. Dedicated employees conduct site surveys, install equipment and provide service after installation with on-site and remote support. Unlike many competitors, EthoStream employs a knowledgeable, well-trained staff of support technicians, so users can rely on an in-house team to provide rapid, friendly assistance 24/7.

"We are excited to showcase the power of our Wi-Fi platform and how it can help hoteliers better connect with their guests," said Matt Koch, Chief Operating Officer for Telkonet.
