Mosaid Technologies (T.MSD) hit a new 52-week high of $23.80; MOSAID Technologies Inc. today announced that it has signed a worldwide, non-exclusive wireless patent license agreement with Sony Corporation of Japan. Under the terms of the patent portfolio license agreement, MOSAID grants Sony a fixed-payment term license under MOSAID's wireless technology patents, covering all Sony Wi-Fi enabled products.
The effective date of the term license agreement is January 1, 2010. All other terms and conditions of the license agreement are confidential.
Khan Resources Inc (T.KRI) hit a new 52-week high of $1.02; Khan Resources Inc. announced today that is has entered into a definitive agreement with CNNC Overseas Uranium Holding Ltd., a Chinese nuclear energy corporation based in Beijing and an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation, pursuant to which CNNC has agreed to acquire all of Khan's outstanding common shares for $0.96 per share in cash.
The CNNC Offer represents a premium of approximately 118% to the closing share price prior to the Atomredmetzoloto JSC unsolicited bid, and a 48% premium to the unsolicited $0.65-per-share bid which expires today at 5:00 p.m. (Toronto Time).
Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (T.INE) hit a new 52-week high of $6.90; Innergex Power Income Fund and Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to undertake a strategic combination of the two entities whereby the Fund acquires INE by way of a reverse take-over, thereby effecting at the same time the conversion of the Fund to a corporation.
The Combination will create a pure play corporation that will be one of the largest independent renewable power producers in Canada.
