Canada's main stock index looked set to a lower open on Thursday, following a disappointing Chinese manufacturing data.
The S&P/TSX composite index hiked 40.16 points to end Tuesday, the month and year at 13,621.55. Futures traded down Thursday by 0.03%.
The Canadian dollar dipped 0.11 cents to 94.03 cents U.S. early Thursday
Bombardier Inc said on Tuesday it received a firm order from an undisclosed customer to buy 38 business aircraft in a deal valued at about $2.2 billion.
China's factory activity slowed in December, official and private manufacturing surveys showed, reinforcing views that growth in the world's second-largest economy moderated in the final quarter of 2013.

It looks like markets could be off to a weak start for the New Year.
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials dropped 31 points, or 0.2%, to 16,463. Futures for the S&P 500 faded 2.80 points, or 0.2%, to 1,838.30, and futures for the NASDAQ fell 12.75 points, or 0.4%, to 3,571.
U.S. stocks finished higher Tuesday -- the final trading day of 2013 -- with the Dow and S&P closing out 2013 with record highs. The Dow ended with a 26% gain, while the S&P 500 jumped more than 29% and the NASDAQ surged nearly 40%, to highs not seen since 2000.
A pair of economic reports may help drive markets on the first trading day of 2014.
This morning, the U.S. Labor Department releases its weekly tally of initial jobless claims, which have been easing recently. Later on, the Institute for Supply Management will release its monthly manufacturing index, while the Census Bureau will release data on construction spending.
European markets were all moving lower in morning trading, with Germany's DAX index declining by 0.45%.
Most Asian markets ended the day with small gains. The Shanghai Composite index moved up by 0.9%.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange was closed for an extended New Year break.
Oil prices faded 85 cents to $98.72 U.S. a barrel
Gold prices hiked $12.20 at $1,214.50 U.S. an ounce.
