Stock futures pointed to a higher opening for equities in Toronto on Monday ahead of a busy week of U.S. corporate results.
The S&P/TSX composite index lost 26.22 points to close the day and the week at 15,360.55. June futures nicked up 0.3% early Monday.
The Canadian dollar faded 0.29 cents to 81.61 cents U.S. early Monday.
Shareholders of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce said on Friday they will demonstrate their unhappiness with CIBC's executive pay structure at the lender's annual meeting next week.
Barclays raised the price target on CGI Technologies to $61.00 from $55.00.
CIBC raised the target price on Savanna Energy Services Corp to $2.50 from $2.25
Canaccord Genuity cut the price target on Torex Gold Resources Inc. to $1.60 from $1.80

U.S. stock futures are pushing up, indicating Wall Street will have a positive start to the week.
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials moved up 92 points, or 0.5%, to 17,862. Futures for the S&P 500 gained 10 points, or 0.5%, to 2,085.50, and futures for the NASDAQ tacked on 13.5 points, or 0.3%, to 4,362.50
Halliburton, Hasbro, Royal Caribbean and Morgan Stanley (MS) are all reporting ahead of the open. IBM will report after the close.
European markets are all rising in early trading, with many key indexes up by nearly 1%.
But nearly all Asian markets ended the day with significant losses.
The Chinese central bank launched new stimulus measures Sunday that are designed to counter the country's slowest economic growth in six years.
The central bank is allowing large banks to hold lower levels of cash reserves, which should free up money for banks to lend out into the economy.
Oil prices fell 59 cents to $55.15 U.S. a barrel
Gold prices retreated $4.50 to $1,198.60 U.S. an ounce.
