Stock futures in Canada were little changed, a day after the benchmark stock index posted its highest close since May 2015.
The S&P/TSX Composite gained 57.45 points to conclude Thursday at 15,295.20
The Canadian dollar inched higher 0.05 cents to 75.86 U.S. early Friday.
BRP Inc reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit as it sold more year-round products. The company also raised its current -year adjusted earnings forecast to $1.86-$1.96 per share, from $1.82- $1.92.
RBC raised the target price on Cenovus Energy to $25.00 from $24.00, saying that the company’s 2017 budget strikes the right balance between growth, capital discipline and financial strength.
Canaccord Genuity raised the target price on Lumenpulse Inc to $22.00 from $20.00, to reflect the company’s increased short-term visibility and differentiated positioning in the market.

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Friday as traders focused on a remarkable post-election rally and digested a surprise monetary policy announcement from the European Central Bank (ECB).
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials hiked 28 points, or 0.1%, to 19,592. Futures for the S&P 500 eked up 1.25 points, or 0.1%, at 2,243.75. NASDAQ futures gained 8.75 points, or 0.2%, at 4,871.
On the earnings front, Vail Resorts posted quarterly results.
On the data front, Friday will see consumer sentiment and wholesale inventories which are both due to be reported at 10 a.m. ET.
ECB President Mario Draghi announced an extension of the central bank's bond buying program although he stunned investors by reducing the pace of monthly asset purchases. The move was seen by some traders as a first step towards tapering in the euro-zone.
European markets were generally higher by noon on the continent. In Asia, the Shanghai Composite in China closed 0.7% higher, while the Nikkei in Japan closed 1.2% higher.
Oil prices picked up 38 cents to $51.22 U.S. a barrel
Gold prices faded $8.20 at $1,164.20 U.S. an ounce.
