Futures Hint at Higher Open

Stock futures pointed to a higher opening for markets in Toronto on Tuesday

The S&P/TSX Composite Index dropped 31.23 points to end Friday, the week, month, quarter and first half of 2017 at 15,182.19.

September futures jumped 0.2% early Tuesday.

The Canadian dollar gained 17 cents to 77.11 U.S. early Tuesday.

About 20,000 gallons (about 75,000 litres) of crude oil belonging to Exxon Mobil Corp was released after a Canadian National Railway Co freight train derailed on Friday at Plainfield, Illinois.

Canaccord Genuity raised the target price on Theratechnologies Inc. to $9.50 from $7.50
