Futures Flat to Begin Week

Futures for Canada's main stock index inched higher on Monday, tracking steady gains in gold and oil prices, while volumes were expected to be subdued as U.S. markets were closed for the extended 4th of July weekend.

The TSX Composite index gained 60.53 points to end Friday and the week at 20,226.11. Still, the index fell short on the week by 4.15 points, or 0.02%.

The Canadian dollar demurred 0.07 cents to 81 cents U.S.

September futures were up 0.1% Monday.

CIBC raises target price on AGF Management to C$8.50 from C$8.00

Cormark Securities raised the price target on Converge Technology Solutions to $11.50 from $11.00

Scotiabank raised the target price on Ero Copper to $27.00 from $26.00

Cormark Securities raises target price on Mullen Group to $16.00 from $15.50

Overseas, in Japan, the Nikkei 225 dipped 0.6% Monday, while in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index also plunged 0.6%.
Oil prices gained 29 cents to $75.45 U.S. a barrel.

Gold prices picked up $8.80 to $1,792.10 U.S. a pound

The TSX Venture Exchange gathered 7.7 points Friday to 968.39, to finish higher by 19.88 points on the week, or 2.1%.
