With Strong Demand, The Sky’s the Limit for These Five Drone Stocks

Distributed on behalf of ZenaTech.

Drone stocks, such as ZenaTech (NASDAQ: ZENA), AIRO Group Holdings (NASDAQ: AIRO), Red Cat Holdings (NASDAQ: RCAT), Ondas Holdings (NASDAQ: ONDS), and Leonardo DRS Inc. (NASDAQ: DRS) nare still flying high thanks to the Trump Administration.
For one, President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” unlocks federal funding for domestic production, makes US skies safer by eliminating Chinese-made drones and components, cuts outdated certification and procurement barriers, and fast-tracks deployment directly to frontline units. It also provides $33 billion in direct spending for advanced drones, autonomous systems, and broader US defense modernization.
Two, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s latest policy directive, Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance, just made it easier for American drone companies—especially those building Group 1 and 2 affordable drone systems—to sell directly to the military, scale production, and innovate without delays from traditional defense procurement bottlenecks including Blue UAS certification timelines.
Three, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy unveiled a new proposed rule for BVLOS, or Beyond Visual Line of Sight operation, which will unleash U.S. innovation and “safely integrate unmanned aircraft systems into the national airspace system,” as noted by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
All of which has been beneficial for drone stocks, such as ZenaTech (NASDAQ: ZENA), Whose Taiwan Manufacturing Facility Advanced to Commissioning Phase and Assembly Line Setup for NDAA-Compliant Drone Components for US Defense
In fact, ZenaTech just announced that its Taipei, Taiwan-based Spider Vision Sensors (SVS) subsidiary has advanced to the commissioning phase and assembly line setup at its recently leased 16,000 square-foot drone components manufacturing facility. This marks a key milestone toward bringing the site online to supply components for its ZenaDrone subsidiary drones. The company expects the facility to begin production by early 2026.
SVS’s leadership and the local teams are actively engaged in preparing the new facility, setting up the initial assembly lines, including validating building systems and utilities; planning the site layout; and finalizing the purchase and installation of key assembly line machinery and equipment. These efforts are necessary to ready the plant for production that will initially focus on Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and drone camera and sensor manufacturing.
According to Shaun Passley, Ph.D., ZenaTech CEO:
“Advancing to the commissioning phase represents a pivotal move toward securing a reliable, NDAA-compliant supply chain and strengthening our position in the US defense market. By vertically integrating and manufacturing our own components in Taiwan, rather than relying on restricted components from certain foreign manufacturers -- particularly those originating in China -- we’re ensuring compliance while setting a new standard for agility, innovation, and self-sufficiency as an American drone maker.”
Taiwan is known as a leading electrical and technology hub in Asia, providing advanced expertise and infrastructure for high-precision electronics manufacturing. The facility will support compliance with US and NATO standards, including Green and Blue UAS certification, ensuring that components meet those rigorous quality and security requirements.
The SVS manufacturing facility is expected to expand to several assembly lines producing critical drone components including drone motors and multiple types of sensors such as thermal and LiDAR sensors. Components will be shipped to ZenaDrone’s manufacturing centers in Phoenix, Arizona, and Sharjah, UAE for final drone assembly and testing. All US defense and NATO-designated drones will be produced/assembled at the Arizona facility, supporting ZenaDrone 1000, IQ Square, and IQ Nano drone models while maintaining high-quality standards and end-to-end operational control.
The facility will be staffed by 30–40 personnel expected to be hired over the coming months, including engineers, technicians, and R&D staff, forming a multidisciplinary team to support component production.
Other related developments from around the markets include:
AIRO Group Holdings, a global leader in advanced aerospace and defense technologies announced at EAA AirVenture 2025 in Oshkosh, WI, the development of its new middle-mile, medium-lift cargo drone and the expansion of its operations into the YMX Innovation Zone in Mirabel, Quebec. The initiative is led by its Electric Air Mobility segment, Jaunt Air Mobility, and its Canadian subsidiary, Jaunt Air Mobility Canada. Jaunt’s presence in this hub for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) innovation strengthens its collaboration with Vertiko Mobilité, a Canadian leader in AAM operations and ground infrastructure development, and benefits from the support of Aéroports de Montréal (ADM).
Red Cat Holdings, a U.S.-based provider of advanced, all-domain robotic solutions for defense and national security, today announced a strategic collaboration with Safe Pro Group Inc., a leading provider of artificial intelligence (AI)-computer vision technologies. Through this collaboration, Safe Pro’s patented AI-powered image analysis technology will be embedded into Red Cat’s Black Widow drones, enabling U.S. and allied ground personnel to rapidly identify and locate more than 150 types of explosive threats including landmines, anti-personnel mines, cluster munitions, and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in real-time. The integration will allow Safe Pro’s Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) system to process real-time 4k video onboard the Black Widow at the tactical edge and deliver live threat data directly to military situational awareness platforms such as the U.S. Army’s Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) software ecosystem, enhancing and accelerating decision making critical to mission success.
Ondas Holdings, a leading provider of private industrial wireless networks and commercial drone and automated data solutions, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Apeiro Motion, an Israeli developer of advanced ground robotics, fiber optic communications systems and mission-critical automation technologies which will be operated under the Company's Ondas Autonomous Systems business unit. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025. "Apeiro will bring to Ondas a rare combination of world-class engineering talent, field-proven platform development capabilities, and trusted relationships with premier defense customers," said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas. "Their team has shown an exceptional ability to deliver mature, mission-ready autonomous systems that are both innovative and operationally valuable. We believe this acquisition will align perfectly with our strategy to lead the autonomous defense and security sector by bringing operating scale, commercial reach, and platform integration to the next generation of dual-use robotic technologies."
Leonardo DRS Chairman and CEO Bill Lynn just said, “Leonardo DRS delivered another set of strong financial results marked by healthy bookings, solid organic revenue growth and continued profit and margin expansion in the second quarter. The need to deter and contest heightened global threats continues to bolster customer demand for our innovative, high-performance technologies. Amidst a more dynamic macro backdrop, we remain focused on disciplined execution and delivering differentiated capabilities to customers.”
