Credit card issuer Visa Inc. (V) saw its shares rise in premarket trading Monday, after Standard & Poors said late last week that it would add the stock to its benchmark S&P 500 index.
Visa was also upgraded to "Outperform" from "Neutral" on Monday by analysts at Robert W. Baird.
The analyst boosted its price target on the stock to $100 U.S. from $66 U.S.. The stock had closed at $81.34 U.S. on Friday.
Visa shares rose $3.45, or +4.2%, in premarket trading Monday.

The company has a dividend yield of 0.61%, based on Friday’s closing stock price of $81.34 U.S. The stock has technical support in the $73-$75 U.S. price area. If the shares can firm up, there could be overhead resistance around the $80-$85 U.S. price levels.
