Solar Alliance Nears Sun for Sales

Time was when alternative fuels had trouble gaining interest with the general public, but Vancouver-based Solar Alliance Energy Inc (TSX-Venture:SOLR) announces to all who will listen that those days are nearing an end.

SOLR was, well, beaming with pride Thursday on letting out word that sales of its SunBox system are taking off this summer, its enhanced relationship with channel partners driving an incredible 300% of last year’s sales year to date.

SunBox is a complete solar solution that comes in two standard residential systems sizes with options such as a generator for whole home backup and a Tesla electric vehicle charger, installed under the Tesla Approved Vendor relationship announced last March.

So far this year, Solar Alliance has sold $673,000 (all figures in U.S. funds unless denoted otherwise) in residential systems of which about $369,000 is completed and installed, while an additional $304,000 is contracted and in various stages of installation.

In 2018, the comparable residential sales for the Knoxville-based team proved to be $223,000.

SOLR has already sold 300% of last year’s total. Residential solar system sales in 2019 are now on track to exceed $1.3 million. Commercial sales are also on target to exceed expectations, with approximately $962,000 in projects completed.

Solar Alliance shares on the TSX Venture Exchange gained half a Canadian cent, or 10%, to 5.5 cents Canadian Thursday, on volume of 121,000.
