Scotiabank reiterated a BlackBerry (NASDAQ:BB) ‘buy’ rating and a US $7.13 price target. Per tipranks, the average price target is $8.38. BlackBerry’s growth prospects are questionable at this time. Its Cylance unit is performing well but is not big enough to add meaningfully to profit growth.
AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC), which has an average price target of around $16, earned an upgrade from Citigroup and a $13 price target.
AMC reported better quarterly earnings. Management made the effort to single out business data streams that incorrectly classified its loan costs as debt. This caused algos to detect a surge in its debt/equity. AMC shares bottomed at $8.73 in July, rebounded back to $12 but are underperforming again.
Value investors should look at this stock, which trades at a steep discount relative to future cash flow growth.
HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ) reported a weak quarter that sent the stock down ~6% on the day. Barclays issued a "hold" rating and a $20 price target, compared to the average $20.75 price target. HP reported EPS earnings of $0.78 as revenue rose 0.3% to $14.6 billion. Investors reacted negatively to the report because the CEO retired.
Printing revenue is facing pressure from lower alternatives in China. The 3D printing space is compelling but 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) is facing a slowdown.
In Q3/2019, HP reported $2.2 billion in free cash flow. Revenue from Personal Systems grew 3% while commercial net revenue jumped 10%. HP Inc. may interest value investors at these levels.
