Infrax Systems, Inc., (OTCBB:IFXY), a global provider of unified Smart Grid-related products and services for the Energy and Utility industries, continues to take its technologies to the next level with product and corporate developments.
Whereas most companies are vying for market share in the ever expanding smart grid industry, Infrax is setting itself apart as it has developed a "Secure Grid" system that incorporates all the important aspects of today’s smart grid technologies including a sophisticated level of smart meters (a series of sensors and devices that are the lifeblood of smart grid systems to control electric demand) along with threat detection, wireless communication capabilities, grid optimization and security all in a state-of-the-art one-stop solution for end to end grid management.
With the added features, Infrax provides the highest level of secure two-way communications that meets and exceeds all government mandates for the technology. Last week, the Company announced that it entered into a Technical Information License Agreement with Itron, Inc., one of the largest smart grid meter manufacturers globally. At the conclusion of the qualification testing process, Infrax will have the ability to license the communications module to Itron, as well as sell the product as Itron compliant.
As the initial release of Infrax’s newest product, a Secure Network Interface Card ("SNIC"), approaches, the new license agreement will prove very valuable as it grants Infrax the right to design their SNIC and communications module for inclusion in Itron Centron meters. Additionally, Itron has provided Infrax with development tools and technical documentation to aid in this development.
The SNIC is the latest component announced for Infrax's Secure Intelligent Energy Platform. Once again, Infrax is leading technologies into the next generation as this universal host interface board is an "under the glass" solution designed for use in any standards-based meter (Electric, Water, Gas). Based on a multiple processor design, the SNIC provides military grade encryption and wireless interface modules for HAN and WAN applications.
With financing intact and a strong developmental partner providing additional support in funding, Infrax has begun generating revenues on a regular basis. Sales from the delivery of equipment and services in the amount of $319,644 for the latest quarter, ended September 30, 2010, compared to $0 for the comparable three month period ended September 30, 2009. The acquisition on Trimax and the new licensing agreement are increasing the possibilities of generating even greater revenues in the near future.
Still trading at under a penny, at $0.006, but well off September’s high of $0.024, technical traders as well as fundamental traders will be keeping a close eye on Infrax Systems for near term developments which could take the Company back to levels seen as recently a couple months ago.
