Shares Buck Market Downtrend on Positive Stem-Cell Therapy Data

There are many uses for stem-cell therapy. Schizophrenia is one of the top causes of suicide. Today, a company is hoping it can help schizophrenia patients resistant to electroconvulsive therapy with stem-cell therapy.

Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTCPK:TSOI), and its subsidiary Campbell Neurosciences, announced that a previously filed stem cell therapy could reduce behavioral abnormalities associated with schizophrenia. The company is working towards filing with the FDA an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to administer the stem cells in patients who are non-responsive to electroconvulsive therapy.

While markets have been trending down today, shares of TSOI were up almost 8% in early afternoon trading.
