Shares Pop on US Patent Announcement for Personal Tracking Devices

The ability to have peace of mind knowing where your elderly or young loved ones are — that is the goal of wearable GPS tracking that can be worn in a shoe.

GTX Corp (OTC: GTXO) announced a fourth utility patent in the GPS SmartSole family, according to the company’s press release. GTX is breaking through the field of wearable GPS human and asset tracking system.

The new patent will cover different ways to design, protect and manufacture a GPS device inside an insole including the inductive charging unit. The product was designed for individuals prone to wandering, such as those afflicted with dementia or Alzheimers.

Investors were trading shares up 9.65 percent in late-morning trade, hitting a weekly high.
