These Technology Stocks May Have Bottomed: TDOC, SE, U

When Nasdaq rose by over 8% last week following the tepid Fed Rate hike, over-priced technology stocks rose by even more. Companies that grew at the fastest pace during the pandemic bounced back.

Teladoc (TDOC), Sea Ltd. (SE), and Unity (U) are three firms facing a slowdown in the year ahead that may have bottomed.

Teladoc posted revenue growing by 45% to $554.2 million in the fourth quarter. Visits grew by 41% Y/Y to 4.4 million. The e-health firm still lost money. Losses fell to $11 million, an improvement from the $394 million lost in Q4/2020.

TDOC may suit the investor willing to hold shares for the next 10 years.

Gaming firm Sea Ltd. posted revenue growing by 106.4% Y/Y to $3.22 billion in Q4/2021. It lost 88 cents a share. By 2022, digital entertainment bookings may top up to $3.1 billion. Sea has a path to profitability. Its fintech business, Digital Financial Services, has promising growth.

In the metaverse space, Unity (U) posted revenue growing by 43% Y/Y to $315.9 million. It expects revenue of up to $1.505 billion in 2022. Still, it will lose between $39 million to $41 million. Investors will need to wait at least a year before Unity reports profits.
