Environmentally-friendly products are a keynote to many burgeoning businesses today. It’s not a big secret that our resources are wearing a bit thin and that we haven’t always treated the Earth in the kindest of fashions.
There is a constant global initiative to "save our planet" with the knowledge that virtually everything can be sculpted in some way, shape or form to meet the end product and do so in a "green" manner. Smaller, developing companies often are driven to develop products that meet demand for a solution in an eco-friendly manner.
SavWatt USA, Inc. (OTCBB:SAVW) is engaged as an industry leader in LED lighting solutions. The company has built its business platform around an unparalleled vigor and zest to develop robust revenue while maintaining a consciousness about Mother Earth. LED lighting provides for a cleaner, brighter, sustainable lighting solution that operates on far less energy (up to 80% less) than standard light bulbs used today.
Domestic operations seem to be gaining traction and, in preparation for ongoing growth, a new United Kingdom-based subsidiary SavWatt Europe has been formed to market SavWatt Energy Efficient LED Light Bulbs and Fixtures in the European community. Further international business is being conducted as evident through partnerships and distributions agreement with two Korean companies.
Stateside, SavWatt's Baltimore Eco Hub, a 21,000-square-foot facility is approaching completion with a ribbon-cutting scheduled for mid-June to honor the new facility.
Today, in another show of forward movement, SavWatt announced that a slew of new electrical distributors are signing on with the company to peddle the revolutionary LED lights across the U.S. The company attributes the overwhelming interests to a recent LightFair Exhibition in Philadelphia, where the products were introduced to many new companies and very well-received. SavWatt’s total number of partners is slated to exceed 100 by the end of May as a result of this new influx.
From a corporate standpoint, this could be a very prescient milestone as each partner has an annual minimum target of $100,000 worth of purchases in order to maintain the agreement and discounted pricing structure. The simple math shows that projections from these agreements alone should top $10 million in a 12-month period. In another show of confidence, SavWatt has already booked their booth for next year’s International LightFair Convention; this time nabbing an even bigger booth.
This green fledgling appears to be grabbing the ear of the industry and the investment community. Shares hit an all-time low in the opening days of May, but are gaining some traction on increased daily volume. With continued news such as this, SavWatt could be one to watch for ongoing developments and revenue generation in the near and long-term. Proper due diligence is always advised.
