Canadian media company Corus Entertainment (CJR) has secured its biggest ever U.S. distribution deal with streaming service Hulu.
In a news release, Corus said it has signed a deal to sell more than 400 episodes of lifestyle, renovation, unscripted and crime programming to Hulu. Terms of the deal with privately held Hulu were not disclosed.
The Toronto-based company says the arrangement with Hulu includes the U.S. pre-sale of the television show “Pamela's Garden of Eden,” which is an eight-part reality series that follows Canadian actress Pamela Anderson as she renovates her family home on Vancouver Island.
Corus said the deal with Hulu illustrates the company's compelling slate of content across key genres, and that the Toronto-based company is gaining traction in the highly competitive U.S. streaming market.
Corus stock has declined 17% over the past six months and now trades at $4.74 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
