Today's Biggest Stock Gains: Hewlett Packard Enterprise, CrowdStrike, and More

Ahead of posting strong quarterly results, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) traded in a wide range at between $16.00 and $19.00. HPE stock will open up by 15% this morning to around $20 after it posted an uplift from AI-related demand.

The company reported revenue of $7.2 billion, up by 3.3% Y/Y. Its annualized revenue run-rate is most impressive at $1.5 billion, up by 37% Y/Y. As a bonus, HPE shareholders get $0.13 per share in dividends. For FY 2024, HPE estimates growth of 1% to 3% and EPS of $1.61 to $1.71.

AI is a tailwind. Revenue from its server segment increased by 18% Y/Y to $3.9 billion. This is a double growth in sequential terms.

In the cybersecurity sector, CrowdStrike (CRWD) posted a total ARR expanding by 33% to $3.65 billion in the quarter. Watch CRWD gain around 7% when markets open. For Q2, it expects Q2 of up to $0.99. CEO George Kurtz said that the Falcon platform’s differentiated architecture created a wide competitive moat.

In the travel sector, both Carnival (CCL) and Norwegian Cruise (NCLH) will try to build positive stock momentum. Shares gained 5.8% and 3.96% on Tuesday, respectively.
