Google (GOOGL) has introduced “Nano Banana Pro,” a new image editing and generation tool that’s powered by artificial intelligence (A.I.).
The new A.I. image generator builds on the company’s previously released Gemini artificial intelligence model.
Google said the new product is built on its Gemini 3 Pro A.I. model, its most advanced platform to date.
Nano Banana Pro gives people the ability to turn photos of themselves or their pets into three-dimensional (3D) figurines, among other features.
Nano Banana Pro is currently available in the Gemini app along with Google’s A.I. writing assistant called “NotebookLM.”
Google A.I. Pro and Ultra subscribers have immediate access to the products.
Images generated on a free version of Nano Banana accounts will include a watermark, but it will be removed for Google A.I. subscribers, said the company.
Google is racing to gain ground on rival OpenAI in the generative A.I. space. The Gemini A.I. app currently has more than 650 million monthly active users, Google said in a news release.
GOOGL stock has risen 53% this year to trade at $289.45 U.S. per share.
