Artificial intelligence (A.I.) startup Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate has reached $65 billion U.S.
The creator of the Claude chatbot said the $65 billion U.S. milestone was reached in July of this year and is due to the growing popularity of its A.I. solutions among businesses.
Anthropic shared the revenue figure in an update to investors ahead of the company’s initial public offering (IPO) that could come before year’s end.
There are media reports that Anthropic could be valued at $2 trillion U.S. in its IPO, which would make it the largest market debut in Wall Street’s history.
In June of this year, Elon Musk’s SpaceX (SPCX) went public at a valuation of $1.77 trillion U.S.
Anthropic has confidentially filed its prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and has been holding preliminary meetings with potential investors.
However, a date for the company’s IPO and a timeline for the share sale have not been set.
Anthropic reportedly also told investors that its revenue amounted to $11.5 billion U.S. for this year’s second quarter, a 14-fold jump from a year earlier.
As recently as May of this year, Anthropic said that its annualized revenue was at $47 billion U.S. In 2025, the company’s revenue totaled $10 billion U.S.
Anthropic’s main rival OpenAI said earlier in August that its annualized revenue run rate stood at $40 billion U.S.
Anthropic was last valued at $965 billion U.S. in a funding round.
