Consumer Price Index (Aug.) CPI rose 3.0% year over year in July, following a 2.8% gain in June. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.3% in July.

Monthly Survey of Manufacturing (July) Manufacturing sales edged up 0.1% in June, driven largely by increased sales of chemical products and transportation equipment. On a quarterly basis, total sales rose 9.3% in the second quarter of 2026.

Wholesale Trade (July) Wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) rose 2.8% in June.

Motor Vehicle Sales (July) In June, 190,167 new motor vehicles were sold in Canada, an increase of 7.3% from the same month the previous year. In dollar terms, sales increased 9.1% in June compared with one year earlier.

CREA MLS (Aug.) National home sales edged up 0.5% month-over-month. Actual (not seasonally adjusted) monthly activity came in 5.3% below July 2025.
