In only a week, shares of Nebius Group (NBIS) returned 48%. Investors applauded the firm’s second-quarter results. That caused a short squeeze, where bears held a 25.6% short interest against NBIS stock.
Investors expressed no concerns about the public pushing back on data centers built in their town. Nebius Communications Officer Tom Blackwell said that the firm is engaging with the community. It has been applying in New Jersey around Vineland. As a result, it is on track with its delivery.
SanDisk (SNDK) traded as low as around $1000 in late July to close at $1,641.11. In 13F filings, hedge funds like 3G Capital Partners disclosed that it started a new position in SNDK stock. Appaloosa sold its position.
At analyst day, CEO David Goeckeler said that the company benefited from staying very close to its customers. By continually iterating the product, SanDisk may have scale of inference. That widens its moat and lifts its profit margins.
Last week, Broadcom (AVGO) pulled back after BleepingComputer reported a cybersecurity hole for VMware vCenter. The virtual machine software compromise was seen at 361 IP addresses in 47 countries. Broadcom previously disclosed the vulnerability, called CVE-2026-59310, in July.
Investors might consider taking advantage of the drop in AVGO stock. Conversely, CrowdStrike (CRWD) is an appealing software cybersecurity stock to consider.
