Western University's Ivey purchasing managers’ index expanded at the fastest pace in three months in July, easing concerns over the country’s economic outlook.
Figures released by the Richard Ivey School of Business said its PMI rose to 54.1 last month from a reading of 46.9 in June. Analysts had expected the index to increase only to 53.0 last month.
A figure above 50.0 indicates industry expansion, below that figure indicates contraction.
