In Shanghai, the CSI 300 lost 42.54 points, or 1.1%, to 3,733.24.
In Taiwan, the Taiex was hammered 221.64 points, or 1.5%, to 14,556.87.
In Korea, the Kospi index handed over 29.59 points, or 1.2%, to 2,408.27.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index slid 4.49 points, or 0.1%, to 3,240.06.
In Australia, the ASX 200 dipped 30.74 points, or 0.4%, to 7,229.14.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 tumbled 74.25 points, or 0.7%, to 11,308.31.
