In Taiwan, the Taiex gained 1,236.30 points, or 2.6%, to 49,712.04.
In Singapore, the Straits Times index recovered 32.39 points, or 0.5%, to 5,664.33.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 gained 18.52 points, or 0.1%, to 13,699.01.
In Australia, the ASX 200 recovered 4.29 points, or 0.1%, to 8,686.39.
