TSX Composite opens lower today; shares down at market open

Investing.com - Canadian equities started lower on Tuesday. The top losers at the market open were Health Care, Renewable Energy and Clean Technology, Materials and Energy indices.

At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index fell 0.51%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap also dropped. The TSX Venture declined 0.87%, while the Smallcap was down by 1.14%.

  • Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS): Rose 1.84% or 1.21 points to 66.81
  • Alimentation Couche Tard (TSX:ATD): Increased 1.40% or 1.10 points to 79.49
  • Thomson Reuters (TSX:TRI): Climbed 1.1% or 2.68 points to 228.30
