TSX Composite up today; shares mixed at market open

Investing.com - Canadian equities started lower on Thursday. The top losers at the market open were REIT, Renewable Energy and Clean Technology and Utilities indices.

At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index rose 0.38%. The TSX Venture declined, but the TSX Smallcap increased slightly. The TSX Venture declined 0.06%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.13%.
