Futures for Canada's main stock index were muted on Thursday, after the index hit a series of record highs this week, while commodity prices were mixed.
The TSX leaped 279.6 points, to close Wednesday at 31,180.25.
December futures dropped 0.1% Thursday.
The Canadian dollar acquired 0.06 cents to 70.96cents U.S.
Trading is expected to be thin as markets in the U.S. were shut for a public holiday and would trade for a shorter period on Friday.
Among stocks, crypto firm Bitfarms will be on the radar, as Bitcoin prices edge up over 1%.
Oil prices gained 30 cents to $58.95 U.S. a barrel.
Gold prices declined $10.20 to $4,155 U.S. per ounce.
