Stock futures pointed to a higher opening for Canada's main stock index on Monday
The S&P/TSX composite index gained 127.45 points to close the day and the week at 14,690.83, with futures up 0.4%.
The Canadian dollar added 0.11 cents to 88.41 cents U.S. early Monday.

Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials nosed up 23 points, or 0.1%, to 17,524. Futures for the S&P 500 added 3.25 points, or 0.2%, to 2,029.25, and futures for the NASDAQ gained 11.75 points, or 0.3%, to 4,162.50.
A number of companies will be reporting quarterly results Monday. Sotheby's is among the big names reporting before the opening bell.
European markets were all rising in early trading. Asian markets ended with mixed results.
