Stock futures pointed to a lower opening for Canada's main stock index on Monday as a stronger dollar weighed on commodity prices including oil, copper and gold.
The S&P/TSX composite index surrendered 92.91 points to finish the day, week and month at 15,014.09. June futures on the S&P TSX index were down 0.3% Monday morning.
The Canadian dollar faded 0.32 cents to 80.06 cents U.S. early Monday.

U.S. stock futures are moving higher
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials hiked 76 points, or 0.4%, to 18,085, futures for the S&P 500 inched higher seven points, or 0.3%, to 2,113, and futures for the NASDAQ moved higher 23.25 points, or 0.5%, to 4,534.25.
On Friday, the main U.S. stock markets closed the month of May with a loss. The Dow declined by 116 points, the S&P 500 fell 0.6% and the NASDAQ closed 0.6% lower.
Shares in Altera are rallying by about 8% pre-market as reports say Intel will soon announce a takeover deal for the company worth roughly $17 billion U.S. Intel will reportedly pay $54 U.S. per share.
Shares in AstraZeneca and Roche are rising by about 2% in Europe after each company reported encouraging results from tests of new cancer treatments.
Reports from the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual conference in Chicago suggest the clinical trials could reflect a major breakthrough in using the body's immune system to treat cancer.
In the U.S., the government will publish personal income and spending numbers this morning. New U.S. monthly manufacturing data will be released soon afterwards.
Most European markets are firmer in early trading.
Investors are keeping an eye on Greece this week as the country approaches another debt deadline on Friday. Many doubt whether the country will have enough money to repay its debts this month.
Asian markets ended with mixed results, but the Shanghai Composite stood out after shooting up by nearly 5% Monday. Investors appear to be betting even more heavily that China will take measures to stimulate its economy after another batch of weak data.
