Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials gained 27 points, or 0.2%, to 17,205, futures for the S&P 500 added four points, or 0.2%, to 2,019. NASDAQ futures picked up 3.75, or 0.1%, to 4,566.75

The U.S. Department of Commerce is releasing its updated GDP estimate for the third quarter this morning. The last estimate showed the U.S. economy grew by 2.1%.

Shares in Toshiba dropped another 12.3% in Japan on Tuesday to close at the lowest level since the financial crisis.
