Futures in Canada’s largest market were higher on Tuesday, helped by a 2% rise in oil prices partly due to a workers' strike in Kuwait.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index closed Monday positive 82.62 points at 13,719.82. June futures gained 0.5% Tuesday.
The Canadian dollar ballooned 0.46 cents to 78.67 cents U.S. early Tuesday.

U.S. stock futures are rising ahead of the open and European markets are making solid gains.
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials hiked 51 points, or 0.3%, to 17,979, while futures for the S&P 500 boosted 9.25 points, or 0.4%, to 2,096. NASDAQ futures gained 30.75 points, or 0.7%, to 4,577.25.
Earnings season continues as Goldman Sachs, Harley-Davidson, Johnson & Johnson and TD Ameritrade are among the main companies reporting earnings ahead of the open.
Tech giants Intel and Yahoo are reporting results after the close.
Investors are also hoping for more information from Yahoo about its future. Verizon is widely expected to have made an offer for Yahoo.
Intel is also in the spotlight after it was reported to be planning to lay off thousands of employees.
Shares in Netflix are sinking before the open after the company said second quarter subscriber growth would be below industry expectations.
Asia stocks were almost uniformly up overnight, after tanking Monday.
