Stock futures pointed to a higher opening for markets in Canada’s biggest centre as easing political tensions in Britain and higher oil prices boosted risk appetite.
The S&P/TSX Composite climbed 102.04 points to finish Monday trading at 14,361.88. September futures soared 0.6% Tuesday morning.
The Canadian dollar regained 0.53 cents to 76.77 cents U.S. early Tuesday
Canaccord Genuity raised the target price on Iamgold Corp to $6.50 from $4.50 based on the company’s strong leverage to gold and a modest increase in target multiple.
Alimentation Couche-Tard reports earnings today, projecting a fourth-quarter of 38 cents per share.

U.S. stock futures are rising again, indicating that investors could see more records for stocks during the trading day.
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials advanced 81 points, or 0.5%, to 18.228, while futures for the S&P 500 took on 11 points, or 0.5%, to 2,141.25. NASDAQ futures gained 27 points, or 0.6%, to 4,576.50
U.S. stocks are in record territory and it's Amazon's"Prime Day," when the company offers shoppers thousands of special sales.
Investors will be closely monitoring Amazon today as the online retailer is promising more than 100,000 deals during its second annual "Prime Day."
The sales are only available for customers with Amazon Prime memberships.
But there are plenty of potential pitfalls as well as bargains. Last year, shoppers were outraged when they found many deals were on small, undesirable items.
European markets are mostly rising in early trading, while Asian markets ended the day with gains.
U.K. investors continue to be cheered that the country is set to get a new prime minister, Theresa May, two months earlier than expected.
May has been a senior member of David Cameron's government for six years. She'll take office on Wednesday.
Investors are also looking forward to hearing from Bank of England Governor Mark Carney. There are expectations that the central bank will cut interest rates on Thursday to support the U.K. economy as it prepares to leave the European Union.
