U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Wednesday as traders remained unfazed by geopolitical tensions and eyed the Dow Jones' march toward 20,000.
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials pulled ahead nine points, or 0.1%, to 19,908. Futures for the S&P 500 dipped 1.75 points, or 0.1%, to 2,265.75. NASDAQ futures fell 2.5 points, or 0.1%, at 4,953.50
On the earnings front, Bed Bath & Beyond, Micron, Red Hat, CalAmp and Herman Miller are due to report after the bell.
On the data front, Wednesday will see existing home sales data for November released at 10 a.m. ET.
European markets trundled a bit lower by noon on the continent, while in Asia, the Shanghai Composite in China closed 1.2% higher, while the Nikkei in Japan closed 0.3% lower.
