Stock futures pointed to a lower opening for equity markets in Toronto on Friday due to a drop in oil prices.
The S&P/TSX Composite shed 28.32 points to close Thursday at 15,615.32, with March futures sliding 0.1%
The Canadian dollar moved lower 0.12 cents to 76.27 cents U.S. early Friday.

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a mixed open on Friday as traders eyed several pieces of data and President Donald Trump's meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May.
Ahead of the opening bell, futures for the Dow Jones Industrials eked up seven points to 20.058. Futures for the S&P 500 added 0.75 points to 2,294.75. NASDAQ futures gained seven points, or 0.1%, at 5,154.75.
Traders will watch Trump's meeting with May closely, along with any comments they make on a potential trade deal and Brexit.
On the earnings front, Colgate-Palmolive, American Airlines Group, AbbVie and General Dynamics all reported before the bell. Chevron, a Dow component, was also scheduled to report before the bell
Durable goods and gross domestic product data are both due this morning, likewise consumer sentiment data.
European markets were consistently lower by Friday afternoon on the continent, while Japan, Australian and New Zealand markets were up. Half the region was shuttered for holiday.
Oil prices faded 33 cents to $53.45 U.S. a barrel
Gold prices moved downward $8.60 to $1,181.20 U.S. an ounce.
