Futures for stocks in Canada’s largest market were on track to open higher on Monday, as energy shares were helped by a steady rise in oil prices.

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a muted open on Monday as Wall Street pored through the latest batch of corporate earnings.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrials picked up 48 points, or 0.2%, to 25,462.
S&P 500 futures poked up one point to 2,822.50, while futures for the NASDAQ composite inched up 3.25 points to 7,304.50.
Caterpillar reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue, sending its shares up by 3.3%in the pre-market. The Dow component also raised its full-year earnings outlook.
Bloomin' Brands, First Data and Seagate also posted stronger-than-forecast quarterly profits. AK Steel is scheduled to report Monday after the close.
While no speeches by the Federal Reserve are scheduled to take place Monday, investors will be gearing up for the latest Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), which is due to take place Tuesday and Wednesday.
In data, pending homes sales are due out at 10 a.m. ET, followed by the Dallas Fed's manufacturing survey at 10:30 a.m. ET.
This comes just days after the advance reading of the U.S.' gross domestic product (GDP) for the second quarter, which showed Friday that the economy had grown by 4.1% in line with estimates.
Overseas, in Japan, the Nikkei 225 subsided 0.7%, while in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index lost 0.3%.
Oil prices gathered $1.35 to $70.04 U.S. a barrel.
Gold prices fell $2.50 to $1,220.50 U.S. an ounce.
