12:10 PM EST - Stelco Inc. : U.S. Steel Corp. agreed to acquire Stelco Inc. for $1.1 billion, bagging the last big Canadian-owned steelmaker and strengthening its position in flat-rolled steel products in North America. U.S. Steel will acquire Stelco for $38.50 per share, a 43 percent premium over the Canadian company's Friday closing price of $26.93. The companies announced the deal Sunday night. Stelco Inc.
