10:59 AM EST - Bank of Nova Scotia : signed an agreement to purchase a 79 percent stake in Chile's seventh largest bank, Banco del Desarrollo, for $810 million, the two companies said on Friday. Scotiabank also said it expects to acquire up to a 100 percent stake of Banco del Desarrollo, which has assets of more than $5.1 billion and a nationwide network of 74 branches. Bank of Nova Scotia
